There are a few things that are helpful to lay out before diving in to a new home constructions. First, you should have an honest conversation about your budget and your priorities. It is helpful to go ahead and bring a bank in at this point to determine exactly what you are able to afford and to get pre-qualified.

This may sound obvious, but we’ll need some place to put your new home. You may already have land or you may just have an idea of where you want to be, but settling on this will be required before we can get you accurate pricing. Whether you already own land or you’re just now looking, we would be happy to evaluate it for home construction purposes.

After we have a working plan, it will be time to get it just right. Settle on all the features and options and finalize the layout to match your budget and your preferences perfectly. Once you have settled on exactly what you want, we’ll put together a final number and some paperwork for you to sign. You’ll wrap things up with the bank and we’ll get the house ordered.

Excavating and foundation work

Surveyors will stake out the corners of the house to give us a base to work with. Next, we will excavate the site and make way for the footers and foundation walls. Finally, we will build the foundation

Home set and weather-tightening

Next, your home will be delivered to the site where large cranes will lift it into place on your foundation. From there, our crews will finish assembly of your home and make it weather-tight, meaning all roof shingles are completely installed, side walls are in place, and windows are sealed.

Finishing work

Any exterior finishing, like guttering. porches and decks, or specialty siding will be completed on site. Drywall, trim, flooring, and other seeming work will be finished as well. Mechanical systems setup, such as heating and cooling, will be finished on site as well.

After final inspections are completed and a Certificate of Occupancy is issued, you’ll close out the construction side of your loan and move into permanent financing. We’ll hand you the keys and it’s time for you to start enjoying your new home!
